How and when did The Beloved Medicine Clinic and Pain Center start?

We started the practice in 2020, in the midst of COVID. The vision was to provide personalized care, enlightened by the guidelines of professional associations, but not limited and bound by corporate control.

Beyond providing care, what is The Beloved Medicine Clinic and Pain Center’s ultimate mission?

To create a legacy, a safe harbor from not only disease, but from all the different currents of healthcare. I wanted to build something that patients and their families would consider a safe harbor for their healthcare.

What is The Beloved Medicine Clinic and Pain Center’s unique philosophy of care?

Philosophy is rooted in the belief that effective medicine must be comprehensive, multimodal, and collaborative. We work closely with other specialists, physical therapists, and behavioral health professionals to deliver integrated care that addresses not only physical symptoms but also the underlying causes of pain and disease. Our core values are attentive listening, clear communication, and dedication to improving patients’ function, comfort, and overall well-being.

What is one specific service, specialty, or technology that truly sets The Beloved Medicine Clinic and Pain Center apart from competitors?

Yes, I treat the patient, not the numbers, nor the CT/MRI image. In many instances, the patient has a pretty significant “bad” imaging result, but their symptoms are stemming from something totally different (For example, a patient that has a chronically herniated disc, but their real pain is coming from the SI joint, which really wouldn’t show on the imaging; but rather is clinically diagnosed). I also believe that Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery is the future for taking care of low back pain and other related conditions, and it’s one of our areas of passion.

How does The Beloved Medicine Clinic and Pain Center approach patient care differently?

The keyword here is “listen to the patient”. Every patient is different in the way they present and the way they respond to medications and procedures. We tailor our approaches to the needs of our patients.

What does a typical day look like for staff at The Beloved Medicine Clinic and Pain Center?

Mostly it’s a mix; I see patients, do procedures, and finish paperwork. Some days have challenging cases, demanding more patience on our side, and more understanding on the patient’s side. These days are where we build our reputation, as well as our patients’ confidence in God and in us.

What is the one thing you want every patient to know about The Beloved Medicine Clinic and Pain Center?

I want every patient to know they will get an honest opinion. We treat every patient as a family member.

What do you consider The Beloved Medicine Clinic and Pain Center’s biggest success or proudest moment?

When the patient comes back saying, “This is a miracle! I can walk and function again”.

How would you describe the culture of the practice in three words?

Confidence, compassion, science.

How do you build trust with your patients and make them feel comfortable?

I listen to the patient, respect them, and treat them as my own family members.

Have you or someone close to you experienced the condition or challenge you specialize in? If so, how has that personal journey shaped the way you care for your patients today?

Yes, my own close family members are chronic spine and diabetic neuropathy patients, and that inspired me to get into this field and look for ways to provide comfort and improved functionality to my patients.

What inspired you to pursue a career in medicine, and what continues to motivate you every day?

Achieving precision and providing solutions for patients who had no hope or solution helps me and makes me feel successful.

Do you have any publications?

Yes, most of my publications were during residency. They were in the field of inflammatory bowel disease.

Have you received any awards or notable achievements?

Yes, Best Doctors in Dallas 2024
